50008 Thunderer approaches Horsenden Lane on 2 April 2022 with the 1P01 09:20 Chinnor to Princes Risborough service, during the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway's Diesel Gala. This highly unusual train features Class 411/9 3-CEP 1198, with DATS HST power car 43066 bringing up the rear. After not appearing on its booked diagrams until the late afternoon on the previous day, by which time the weather had deteriorated, it was with much relief that Thunderer worked this early morning train, while there was still virtually no chance of the picture being ruined by clouds!
