50008 Thunderer passes Newton Longville on 17 May 2025 with the UK Railtours 1Z68 13:57 Northampton to Princes Risborough (for Chinnor) 'Thundering Shed' railtour. 66126 Driver Jack Mills is bringing up the rear. This is one of the many excellent new photographic locations on the yet to be officially opened East West Rail Line. The urban sprawl of Bletchley can be seen in the background. The weather forecast was yet again totally wrong. It should have been full sun since 10:00, but this was 14:23, and the very first brief sunny spell had only just happened. There was a little bit of very weak sun for this picture, but naturally by the time I got home, just over an hour later, it was almost totally cloudless!
