A damp and gloomy autumn morning at Shipton station on 13 October 1979. 50008 Thunderer approaches the diminutive Cotswold Line station at speed with the 1A07 08:08 Hereford to Paddington service. The old loading dock can be seen in the foreground, whilst just visible to the right of the train are the foundations of the goods shed. This was a substantial timber built structure, that survived until the cessation of goods services in 1965.
