In severe need of a repaint, 50010 Monarch passes Hinksey Yard on 28 July 1983 with the 1A25 17:22 Oxford to Paddington service. Class 50s were commonplace here at the time, and would even turn up on freights. Despite this, I very seldom met another photographer at the time, at what is now a well known photographic location.
