50015 Valiant approaches Cogload Junction on 22 April 1988 with the 3A27 07:25 Plymouth to Paddington empty newspaper vans. In those days I only had a single Pentax 6x7 camera body, which did not have an interchangeable back. If it was loaded with black and white film, I had to be content with 35mm when the sun decided to come out, as here. The purchase of a second Pentax 6x7 a couple of years later was the very expensive answer to this problem! This is from a 35mm slide, surprisingly in this case, Ektachrome 64, rather than my more usual (an better!) Kodachrome 64.
