After working the Pathfinder Tours 1Z17 'Taw & Tor Tourer' railtour from Meldon Quarry on 5 May 1990, DCWA allocated 50020 Revenge was removed from the train at Bristol Temple Meads, in favour of 47527 Kettering, which took the train on to Manchester Piccadilly. The 50 then headed north light engine, in order to be displayed at the Bescot Open Day, the following day. It is pictured here passing Rangeworthy, running 25 minutes ahead of the tour. This was my last picture of Revenge, as it was withdrawn ten days later. |
