My first chosen location for the Pathfinder Tours mammoth Scottish Class 50 'Orcadian' railtour was the small farm bridge at Bardrill between Blackford and Gleneagles, which considering it is an excellent location within easy reach of the A9 (seen here in the background), I assumed would be heaving with photographers. Not so! I was the only person here to witness the passage of 50031 & 50049 (masquerading as scrapped 50028 Tiger & 50012 Benbow respectively). This was Friday 16 June 2006, and at this point the train was running as 1Z27 06:40 Swindon to Inverness. |
