Gleneagles station is a very grand design considering its remote location. Previously accustomed to wealthy patronage in connection with the world famous golf course, and formerly a junction for the Crieff branch (note the old platform on the left), it now sees very little use, but still retains all its original fittings. On 19 June 2006, 50031 Hood & 50049 Defiance speed through with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z23 08:15 Inverness to Swindon 'Orcadian' railtour. |
