50031 Hood calls at Cheltenham station on 17 November 1982 with the 1V76 09:20 Liverpool Lime Street to Penzance InterCity service. A very dull day, requiring an exposure of 1/125sec f2.8 on Kodachrome 64, which explains the limited depth of field. This was originally Cheltenham Lansdown LMS station. The GWR's station was St James, a terminal station situated much closer to the town centre. Malvern Road station was situated between the two, but that closed, along with St James in 1966. |
