50031 Hood runs along the down relief line at Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 16 May 1998 with the Past Time Rail 07:18 Paddington to Plymouth 'Stanier Hind' railtour. The tour's name refers to LMS 2-8-0 8F 48773, which took over the train at Bristol Temple Meads. This was a very misty morning, which was perhaps fortunate, as had it been sunny, the picture would have been severely backlit. I especially wanted to photograph this here, as the train was booked along the normally freight only relief line.
