50031 Hood passes Flax Bourton with the 6C55 14:37 Bristol East to Exeter Riverside departmental working on 21 September 1990. This loco had been a regular around the Oxford area until May 1990, latterly in the NWRA Network SouthEast pool. After eight months working on undemanding engineers jobs such as the one pictured whilst in the DCWA pool, it was to finish its career back with NSE, this time in the NWXA West of England pool. Even then it always seemed to appear when I was out photographing on that line, so it was almost a case of 'Oh no, not 31 again!'
