50031 Hood brings up the rear of the Pathfinder Tours 1Z18 Manchester Piccadilly to Barnstaple 'Taw Retour' railtour at Gunstone Mill on 16 September 1990. Because it is running on the single track Barnstaple branch, which just happens to be paralleling the single track line to Meldon at this point, it looks like a conventional approaching train. This is emphasised by the headlight being still on! The lead locomotive is in fact 50032 Courageous.
