A location that I had always been impressed by from various railway publications, was the view from the field overlooking Bodmin Parkway station. Unfortunately I left it a little late to get a picture of a Class 50 at this classic location. This was my final chance to get the shot, and despite the difficult (or atmospheric!) lighting, I did manage the added bonus of three Class 50s in the picture! 50033 Glorious & 50007 Sir Edward Elgar pull away from the station with the BR InterCity 1Z50 16:15 Penzance to Plymouth 'Royal Duchy' railtour on 26 September 1993. By special arrangement 50042 Triumph stands in the Bodmin & Wenford Railway's bay platform with a connecting service. |
