In the very last rays of the setting sun, 50034 Furious is about to cross the bridge over the River Evenlode on the approach to Charlbury station with the 1B56 18:07 Paddington to Hereford 'Cathedrals Express' service on 14 April 1987. This was a very interesting period on the line as you never knew what combination of liveries would turn up, with large logo and Network SouthEast Class 50s or Class 47s in a variety of liveries (mostly blue, large logo or InterCity) with stock in either blue / grey, NSE or InterCity.
