50035 Ark Royal prepares to move off from Charlbury station on 15 April 1983 with the 1A51 05:55 Hereford to Paddington service. At this time Charlbury was not the busy station that it is now and the four cars that can be seen parked by the station building probably represent about half of the total left at the station on a Saturday morning. The car park has since been extended way past where I am stood to take this picture, as well as in the other direction. Despite this you would be lucky to find a vacant spot nowadays.
