Class 50s were never particularly common in Wales, but during 1987 the 3A12 06:50 Milford Haven to Paddington empty vans was booked for the class, and on 15 August 1987, 50042 Triumph is seen rounding the curve at Duffryn with this working. At the time it was just one more bit of variety in what was a varied and busy freight scene, sadly now virtually all gone.
