50042 Triumph pulls away from Moreton-in-Marsh station on 16 August 1987 with the 1A25 16:15 Hereford to Paddington service. The background to this view has changed considerably since this picture was taken. New houses and trees have replaced the open view seen here. The cottage visible in front of the trees directly above the roof of 50042 is the former Todenham Road crossing keeper's cottage on the long closed Shipston-on-Stour branch, which started life as early as 1820 as a horse tramway to Stratford-upon-Avon.
