50043 Eagle arrives at Charlbury on 3 July 1987 with the 1B46 17:02 Paddington to Hereford InterCity service. A fine view of two classics. Brunel's station building dates from 1853, whilst English Electric's 50043 only dates from 1968. Unfortunately however, although Brunel's building lives on, 50043 was not so lucky, and despite an abortive preservation attempt, was cut up in 2002.
