50044 Exeter rests underneath Brunel's magnificent wrought iron roof at Paddington station on 22 November 1986, after arriving with the 1A22 08:36 service from Cheltenham. It would shortly be working the 1F20 12:17 Paddington to Oxford, followed by the 1F35 14:00 Oxford to Paddington, and 1C77 20:30 Paddington to Exeter St Davids. Note the BG next to the loco being unloaded, with the interior lights on, and a Brute trolley waiting alongside on the platform.
