In connection with the Laira Open Day on Sunday 15 September 1991, the 17:04 Plymouth to Waterloo Network SouthEast service was double headed by 50046 Ajax & 50029 Renown. The duo are pictured passing Exminster in miserable light. Both locos had a short time left in traffic. Ajax was withdrawn exactly two months later, while Renown just managed to make it into 1992.
