Not much of a load for a Class 50! 50046 Ajax ambles past Brent Knoll on 1 August 1990 with the 9C05 08:27 Bristol East to Taunton departmental working. As this working then continued as the 11:05 Taunton to Exeter Riverside (still running as 9C05), I thought I would go for a second shot at Tiverton Junction. Unfortunately the three wagons were for Taunton and there was no traffic forward, so 50046 just sped through light engine, converting its 30 minutes early running at Brent Knoll into 90 minutes at Tiverton!
