50046 Ajax passes Evenlode on 2 June 1985 with the 1A25 16:15 Hereford to Paddington service. This is probably a bit extravagant for a Sunday train on the Cotswold Line in the mid 1980s. Eight coaches for passengers and a GUV for luggage is certainly luxurious provision compared to today's service, although now of course passenger numbers have increased enormously.
