A ridiculously easy load for a Class 50, even one with very high engine hours, and supposedly limited to 60mph! 50046 Ajax passes the site of Ashbury Crossing, near Shrivenham, on 25 July 1990 with three loaded spoil wagons, heading east, presumably to Didcot. This was midway through Ajax's period as a DCWA civil engineer's loco, when in addition to booked engineer's workings, it would often be employed on odd jobs such as this. |
