The marker lights in the former headcode box give an indication of how dark the scene is here, as 50048 Dauntless arrives at Kingham station on 6 October 1983 with the 1A25 16:15 Hereford to Paddington service. The head on viewpoint was chosen to minimise any movement, as the picture was taken at 1/60sec f2. Kodachrome 200 was not introduced until 1986, so this was taken on Kodachrome 64, which was not really fast enough. As this is the only time I saw 50048 on the Cotswold Line, this picture is included purely for the sake of completeness, despite the poor quality.
