50048 Dauntless emerges from Wickwar Tunnel on 10 August 1985 with the late running 1V86 13:44 Birmingham New Street to Paignton service. Class 50s could easily be heard as they approached the tunnel. It then all went quiet for a while, until they neared the southern exit.
