2006 saw the use of Class 50s on an Arriva Trains Wales working to Fishguard. On 15 July 2006, 50049 Defiance passes the buddleia bushes on the approach to Pembrey & Burry Port station, whilst working the 1B96 10:55 Cardiff Central to Fishguard Harbour service. There are still plenty of semaphore signals at this West Wales outpost!
