50050 Fearless & 50024 Vanguard speed past the MoD loops at Ashchurch with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z41 Taunton to Carlisle 'Fellsman II' railtour on 23 April 1988. This is one of only two pictures that I have of the erstwhile D400 in Network SouthEast livery, and as the other is in black & white it doesn't really count! Having managed to get a pair of locos in matching revised NSE livery, the effect is slightly spoiled by the otherwise matching rake of coaches being interrupted by a single blue & grey coach, and then a single InterCity liveried vehicle!
