The sheep take no notice, as 50149 Defiance passes Bicknoller on 1 October 1995 with the 15:25 Norton Fitzwarren to Minehead service, during the West Somerset Railway's Autumn Diesel Gala. Although 50149 had been reconverted back to standard Class 50 specification before the end of its BR career, the repainting of it in Class 50/1 guise in its early days in preservation was a welcome bonus, as I completely failed to get a picture of it when it was a Railfreight locomotive between 1987 and 1989.
