Goole's 1883 and 1926 built water towers dominate the background, as Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 0-4-0ST 'Pug' No.51218 (masquerading as 51222) pauses with its short freight train next to West Dock during the Russ Hillier photo charter on 15 March 2003. The motive power is absolutely right for the area, as these tough little locos were a regular sight in Goole until they were supplanted by diesel shunters in the early 1960s. |
