Normally Cotswold Line local services in the 1980s were operated by Western Region DMUs, usually Class 117s or 119s from Reading. However, occasionally units from the Midlands put in an appearance. Such was the case on 1 August 1986, when Tyseley provided power for the 2A12 07:45 Moreton-in-Marsh to Reading local service. It is seen here leaving Oxford with Class 116 53893 leading. This unit was withdrawn the following year, succumbing like a lot of the class, to the mass introduction of new Class 150 Sprinters.
