With just one of its 18 cylinder Napier engines doing its bit for the environment, 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier passes Southam on 29 July 2022 with the 2B54 10:25 Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway service. This was the first visit of a Deltic to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, and it was fortunate for the lineside photographers that at least the morning of the gala's first day was blessed with unbroken sunshine.
