The signalman opens the level crossing gates for the waiting Seddon Atkinson lorry at Ridgmont on 2 April 1994, as 55027 (L127) leaves the station with the 10:50 Bletchley to Bedford service. This line was full of character, with semaphore signals and numerous manually operated gates. Unfortunately these antiquated gates have now been replaced by lifting barriers, and the former brickworks on the left has been replaced by an Amazon warehouse.
