56045 & 56103 run alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal at Bridge 99, near Crofton, on 22 October 2025 with the 6V23 10:34 Willesden DC Rail Sidings to Merehead Quarry stone empties. The 56s were standing in for 60028, which had failed the previous day. This was running four minutes late, which was very fortunate, as it was still cloudy at the booked time. The lucky sun makes an excellent picture, with the added bonus of some colourful autumn foliage.
