The shadows are lengthening at the site of Ashbury Crossing, near Shrivenham, on 10 December 1986, as 56055 heads west along the Great Western Mainline with the 6A02 empty ARC stone train, which at the time could have come from either Theale, Appleford, or Oxford Banbury Road, the booked time here being identical in each case.
