56061 passes Wolfhall on 2 July 1985 with the 6V17 10:00 Allington to Westbury ARC stone empties. The embankment in the background is the remains of the MSWJR Swindon to Andover line. This cross country route, which cut across Great Western Railway territory, was never a great success, but managed to struggle on until 1961.
