56064 slowly makes its way through Didcot Power Station's coal unloading building on 12 June 1983. This picture, taken in the middle of the complex, manages to avoid including all six of the cooling towers, as well as the very tall chimney, and yet 56064 is still dwarfed by the impressive coal conveyor. All this is now history, as the power station closed in 2013, and the site has now been cleared. The loco hasn't fared any better, having been cut up in 2009. |
