The 6Z59 09:31 Swindon Transfer to Swindon Transfer (via Newport) Rail Head Treatment Train passes Kemble on 29 September 2023, with 56113 leading, and 56051 Survival bringing up the rear. I particularly wanted a picture of this train in its first few days of operation, before the whole ensemble gets coated in brown grime. Also, this location would be ruined by shadows later in the season. I was extremely lucky with the sun here, as although the woods in the background were almost continuously in the sun, there was a huge dark cloud over the village of Kemble. Amazingly, just as the train approached the station, the sun came out, only to disappear again after the train had entered the tunnel, below where I am standing!
