After only two years away from the national rail network, the Class 56 renaissance has begun. Private operator Fastline reinstated three machines in 2006 for use on their Doncaster to Thamesport Intermodal service. On 17 April 2006, 56302 (the former 56124) passes Old Denaby with a Doncaster Belmont Yard to Barrow Hill test train.
