56312 passes Hinksey on 30 November 2012 with the 6Z91 10:55 Calvert to Didcot Power Station flyash empties. There had been very heavy rainfall during the previous week, which caused flooding across the line at this location. The remains of the flood can be seen on the line into Hinksey Yard, where it passes underneath the recently reconstructed Abingdon Road Bridge. There was a 5mph restriction in force the previous day, as trains negotiated the water, which was across all the tracks. This spot has been subject to flooding ever since the line was built in the 1840s.
