In an extremely lucky few seconds of sunshine, 57002 Winston Churchill passes Uffington on 17 April 2025 with the Locomotive Services Ltd 1Z29 10:42 Paddington to Kingswear private charter. The Winston Churchill nameplate had been unveiled (on this side only) at Paddington a couple of hours earlier. The loco is carrying a 'The Chairman's Train' headboard. At Bristol Temple Meads the loco was swapped for GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 5029 Nunney Castle & 57311 The Institution of Mechanical Engineers for the run to Devon.
