Viewed from the old Abingdon Branch bay platform, 58040 Cottam Power Station approaches Radley station on 9 July 1991 with the 6M61 20:05 Didcot Power Station to Toton MGR empties, which was running nearly an hour early. The Abingdon branch closed to passengers in 1963, but survived as a freight only line until 1984.
