A4 4-6-2 60009 Union of South Africa passes Compton Beauchamp very early on the morning of 8 June 2013 with the 5Z61 03:52 Southall to Bristol St Philips Marsh support coach move. To be honest I had forgotten about this working (not usually taking any notice of loco and coach movements), and was surprised to see it coming as I walked up to the bridge. There was just time to change the lens, but only just enough time to set the camera to 1/1000sec, before taking the picture. The light was so bad that the resultant aperture was full bore f2, so I was pleasantly surprised at how sharp the picture is! Note the reflection of the loco's fire on the running rail.
