Due to an incident at Steventon, trains were severely delayed between Didcot and Swindon on the morning of 25 April 2023. Caught up in the chaos was the 6Z21 06:42 Appleford to Tytherington stone empties, which sat in the loop at Challow for nearly two hours. At the booked time the sun would have been right behind it, and even running late the conventional shot at Uffington would be hopelessly backlit, so I decided to go for this broadside view. 60055 Thomas Barnardo passes Uffington, running 112 minutes late.
