After doing a circuit of Eggborough Power Station, 60059 Swinden Dalesman heads away from the doomed coal fired plant on 26 March 2016 with the Pathfinder Tours 'Generating Finale' railtour, now running as the 1Z37 15:55 Eggborough Power Station to Ferrybridge Power Station. The UK's coal fired power stations are rapidly being taken out of use, and Eggborough is set to close in 2017. This will leave the country seriously short of generating capacity, and with no new large scale plants coming on line, the very real prospect of future power cuts.
