60065 Kinder Low passes Hinksey Yard (near Oxford) with the 7V06 11:16 Rufford to Didcot Power Station MGR coal train on 1 August 1991. According to most printed sources, this loco was not accepted into traffic for a further six weeks, and would then be based at Cardiff in the petroleum FPEK pool, which would certainly be more appropriate to the livery carried here. Class 60s in inappropriate liveries did often appear on the Didcot coal trains, but I don't ever remember seeing another brand new loco on test from Brush and prior to it being accepted by BR.
