60079 passes Bourton on 29 March 2012 with the 6B33 13:35 Theale to Robeston empty Murco oil tanks. Taken from a conveniently placed mound of spoil, which helps to give a little extra height in a flat landscape, this view shows the recently completed embankment strengthening work. The embankment from here to the other side of Acorn Bridge has been a constant source of problems for the civil engineers, and in the time that I have been taking photos, it has had had several major sessions of subsidence prevention work.
