Catching the last rays of the setting sun, 60079 passes Spetchley on 16 June 2004 with the 6E30 17:38 Margam to Hartlepool steel coil. A rather depressing few hours was spent here on this evening, as this was the only freight I saw. This is in marked contrast to the procession of freights that used to traverse this line in the evenings only a few years ago - such is the state of our railways today! This is an excellent spot for evening photography, as nothing at shades the line, although at times you do wish that the footbridge extended into the field a little to give a bit more width to the shot!
