Cattle graze in the lush Vale of White Horse meadows as 60094 Tryfan passes Compton Beauchamp with the 6A68 16:56 Avonmouth to Didcot Power Station loaded coat train on 25 June 1996. This is one of the few locations between Swindon and Didcot where it is possible to take pictures of eastbound trains on a summer evening, albeit nicely backlit. Unfortunately uncontrolled lineside vegetation means that it would not now be possible to get an unobstructed view of a train of this length without a considerable change of position.
