60095 Crib Goch crawls into Hinckley station and prepares to stop at a red signal as it works the 6D18 04:59 Stanlow to Toton fuel oil tanks on 7 September 1996. It was running right behind a passenger service and had to wait for that to clear the section in front. Although somewhat marred by the modern industrial unit in the background, Hinckley station retains much steam age infrastructure, including the original station building and distinctive canopy and the 1894 built LNWR signal box, which can be seen in the distance. |
