With most of GBRf's small fleet of Class 60s having just been put into warm store, it was just 60095 Whernside that was operating on14 January 2026, as it was on hire to DC Rail. It was booked on the 6M02 07:04 Tytherington to Quainton Railhead HS2 stone train, so I drove to Hungerford Common, only to find out when I got there that the Berks & Hants line was blocked by a broken down freight train, and 6M02 had gone via Swindon! Luckily the train was held for a long time at Wantage Road, so I just had enough time to get to Steventon for this picture. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time to get to any better location.
